THIS YEAR, THAT’S FOR SURE. GOING UP INTO THE MID 80S TODAY AND AGAIN TOMORROW, WE’RE GOING TO BE NEAR 90 BY SUNDAY. SO IT IS WARM. IT HAS GOTTEN HUMID AND THAT HUMIDITY IS GOING TO PEAK ON SATURDAY. AND I THINK THAT IS WHEN WE HAVE THE BEST CHANCE FOR SEEING SOME SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. BUT BETWEEN THEM, JUST A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS AND STORMS AROUND. A FEW OF US SAW A FEW RAIN SHOWERS THIS MORNING. THEY WERE LIGHT, DIDN’T LAST LONG AND NOW WE HAVE THIS FILTERED SUNSHINE IN BOSTON. IT IS CURRENTLY 81 DEGREES. THE DEW POINT IS 66, SO THAT HAS COME UP THANKS TO THIS WEST SOUTHWESTERLY WIND. SO DOES FEEL LIKE IT’S IN THE LOW 80S. WE MAY GET INTO THE MID AND EVEN A FEW UPPER 80S THROUGH METRO WEST AND THE MERRIMACK VALLEY. THIS AFTERNOON, WITH ENOUGH SUNSHINE. BUT LOOK AT THE CAPE. YOU’VE GOT THE MOST SUNSHINE RIGHT NOW. YOU’RE LOOKING AT TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S. BEAUTIFUL DAY DOWN THERE. BUT IT’S HUMID AS THIS WIND IS COMING IN OFF THE WATER. BUT A LITTLE BIT OF CLOUD COVER AS YOU GO FROM WORCESTER ON WEST. AND THIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FRONT THAT IS JUST INCHING IN OUR DIRECTION, THAT WEST SOUTHWESTERLY WIND FUNNELING IN HIGHER HUMIDITY. SO THESE DEW POINTS HAVE COME UP SIGNIFICANTLY SINCE YESTERDAY. THEY’RE RUNNING IN THE 60S, NEARING THAT 70 DEGREE MARK RIGHT NOW IN NORWOOD DEW POINT TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW 70S PITTSBURGH. LOOK AT THAT IN CINCINNATI. THE DEW POINT IS 75. THAT IS THAT REAL SOUPY TROPICAL AIR. AND THAT’S WHAT’S WORKING UP IN OUR DIRECTION. SO THE HUMIDITY IS HERE WITH US THROUGH THE REST OF THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. SEE HOW IT KIND OF PEAKS ON SATURDAY. THAT HIGH HUMIDITY WILL, YES, HELP TO FUEL SOME SHOWERS AND STORMS, BUT ANY STORMS THAT WE GET ON SATURDAY COULD PRODUCE SOME REAL HEAVY RAIN WITH DEW POINTS LIKE THAT. SO WE’LL BE WATCHING FOR THAT THIS WEEKEND. THERE’S A FRONT OFF TO THE WEST AGAIN. IT’S GOING TO HELP TO TRIGGER JUST A COUPLE OF THESE ISOLATED SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON. SO THE CLOSER YOU ARE TO IT, CENTRAL WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS, THE HIGHER YOUR CHANCE. BUT THESE WILL BE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. SO NOTHING MORE THAN AN ISOLATED SHOWER THIS AFTERNOON. THIS EVENING IS MUGGY. FIREWORKS, TEMPERATURES RUNNING IN THE 70S, BUT IT’S MOSTLY DRY. AND THEN OVERNIGHT, THAT’S WHEN WE GET INTO A FEW SHOWERS. TAKE A LOOK ON FUTURECAST HERE AS WE GO DEEPER INTO THE AFTERNOON. NEXT FEW HOURS. 3:00 COUPLE OF THESE SHOWERS STARTING TO POP UP HERE OFF TO THE WEST. SO IF YOU HAVE PLANS TO HEAD TO A BARBECUE OR BE OUTSIDE, YOU MAY HAVE TO DART IN BRIEFLY AS THE SHOWERS PASS. I’M NOT EXPECTING ANY THUNDERSTORMS WITH THESE. AND THEN YOU CAN SEE BY 6:00 THIS EVENING THERE MAY BE A FEW, ESPECIALLY UP IN SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE, BUT THESE ARE WINDING DOWN JUST IN TIME FOR THE FIREWORKS. AND THEN OVERNIGHT AFTER MIDNIGHT, SHOWERS MAY SORT OF REDEVELOP. SO WE’LL WAKE UP TO THOSE TOMORROW MORNING. ALSO WAKING UP TO TEMPERATURES NEAR 70. WE DON’T REALLY DROP TOO MUCH TONIGHT. IT’S GOING TO BE A MILD AND MUGGY NIGHT, WITH THAT RISK OF A FEW SHOWERS IN THE OVERNIGHT AND TOMORROW. MORE THE SAME. PARTLY SUNNY. IT’S WARM. IT’S HUMID. THERE WILL BE A FEW SHOWERS AROUND, ESPECIALLY IN THE MORNING HOURS. BUT LOOK, BY MIDDAY THEY’RE MOVING OUT SKIES TRYING TO BRIGHTON. BUT WITH ALL THAT HUMIDITY AROUND, WE MAY POP AN ADDITIONAL SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM IN THE AFTERNOON, BUT YOU CAN SEE TOMORROW THEY ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN AND THEY DIMINISH ONCE THE SUN GOES DOWN. DIFFERENT STORY ON SATURDAY AS THIS FRONT APPROACHES. THIS IS GOING TO HELP TO TRIGGER MORE WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND STORMS. THERE’LL BE SOME IN THE MORNING HOURS ON SATURDAY, SO YOU MAY WAKE UP TO SOME RAIN AND THEN IT TRIES TO DRY OUT A LITTLE BIT AT MIDDAY. BUT NOTICE HOW MORE STORMS DEVELOP IN THE AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING. SO I THINK SATURDAY IS THE MOST UNSETTLED DAY OF THE STRETCH BEFORE WE DRY THINGS OUT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. YOU MENTIONED HURRICANE BERYL. IT IS MOVING AWAY NOW FROM THE CAYMAN ISLANDS, BUT THERE ARE HURRICANE WARNINGS UP FOR THE YUCATAN PENINSULA. THIS DOES INCLUDE CANCUN. THIS WILL LIKELY BE A HURRICANE AS IT COMES IN THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING AND THEN WEAKENING OVER LAND, REEMERGING IN THE GULF. AND THERE YOU SEE, ITS EYES COULD BE ON SOUTH TEXAS OVER THE COURSE OF THE UPCOMING WEEKEND FOR US. MUCH QUIETER HERE. WE’RE JUST DEALING WITH A SHOWER AND A THUNDERSTORM HERE AND THERE. AND THEN AS WE GET TOWARDS SUNDAY, WE DO TURN UP THE HEAT A LITTLE BIT. TEMPERATURES NEAR 90 SUNDAY, MONDAY AND TUESDAY. WE COULD BE TALKING ABOUT ANOTHER HEAT WAVE FOR SOME COMMUNITIES HE
