Police exercises in the South Western and Central Divisions which ended on Wednesday and Thursday respectively led to the arrests of seven people for various offences including drug possession.
In the South Western Division, anti-crime exercises in Penal, Cedros and Siparia between the hours of 6pm on Tuesday and 1pm on Wednesday led to the arrests of three people for various offences, namely possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
Meanwhile, in the Central Division, exercises in Chaguanas, Couva, Cunupia, Gran Couva and Freeport between the hours of 8 pm on Wednesday and 12:05am on Thursday saw the arrests of four people for various offences which included possession of cocaine and possession of ammunition.
