Overall a good school environment and quality education. Lots of very different clubs so there is something for pretty much everyone! Athletics are pretty good, but you can very clearly tell that different team levels, such as JV or Varsity, for the same sport receive a-lot more attention than others in both funding for uniforms and recourses as well as coaching. Theres also a noticeable difference in the overall quality provided in the programs for female sports teams.

After being a part of the Royal School district since I was in kindergarten my overall experience has been great. I am an athlete and my whole life Royal Oak schools have given me a clear pathway to continue what I love whilst still giving me a good education and preparing me for college. I am yet to be in college so I am not sure if I am 100% prepared, but from how I feel right now I feel very prepared for the next 4-6 years ahead of me. I never had any issues of feeling unsafe but I have often felt uncomfortable. The school culture is deteriorating but got better through the years. I would love to see the culture and inclusivity of all kinds of students together. I felt that I, as well as others who may be "fit in" worse than me often felt left out and isolated. My overall best experiences being a part of the school district was all the opportunities and resources I had available to me along the way of my growth as a student.
