It’s another busy week for outdoor music, with area concert series continuing:

B-Town Sounds

BURLINGTON — B-Town Sounds returns starting today for its 12th summer of free concerts at Echo Park, 589 Milwaukee Ave.

Concerts are 6:30-8:30 p.m.

B-Town Sounds begins Thursday, June 13, and continues every other Thursday through Aug. 22.

The band lineup features:

  • June 13: Geoff Landon (country music)
  • June 27: RealTime Noise (rock covers)
  • July 11: Jonny Lyons & The Pride (Johnny Cash tribute)
  • July 25: Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials (blues, funk)
  • Aug. 8: Sawdust Symphony (American “new grass” string band, blending traditional bluegrass sounds with high-energy contemporary classics)
  • Aug. 22: Logan Ramey (Elvis tribute show)

Rhythm on the Lake

SILVER LAKE — In 2023, the Rhythm on the Lake Concert Series hosted its first summer of free Thursday night concerts in Paddock Lake.

This summer, the first half of the season takes place in Silver Lake County Park, 27000 85th St. in Salem.

Concerts are 6-8 p.m. Thursdays, with no concert on July 4.

The Silver Lake concerts are:

  • June 13: Natty Nation (reggae)
  • June 20: The MilBillies (country)
  • June 27: The Roundabouts (blues/folk)
  • July 11: The Incorruptibles (swing/rock)
  • July 18: Physical Graffiti (rock tribute)

Concerts will continue Thursdays through Aug. 22, with the next half of the season at Old Settlers Park, 24100 75th St., in the band shell overlooking Paddock Lake.

Pike River concert series

SOMERS — Hawthorn Hollow’s 2024 Pike River Concert Series features three performances on Fridays, starting June 14.

All shows start at 6 p.m. in the Hawthorn Hollow amphitheater, 880 Green Bay Road in Somers, with gates opening at 5 p.m.

Admission is $10 at the gate (cash only). Food and beverages, such as soda, wine and craft beer will be sold, as will produce from the Heritage Farmstead at Hawthorn Hollow (while supplies last). No carry-ins are allowed.

This season’s concerts are:

  • June 14: The Box Band — Bluegrass Outside the Box. The group, featuring Georgia Rae, is rooted in traditional bluegrass but finds ways to “break free” with different influences and techniques.
  • July 19: TRiP. This Kenosha band has been performing together for more than 40 years “TRiP’s horn-driven classic rock stylings will definitely deliver a good time,” concert organizers said.
  • Aug. 9: Empty Bottle Boys and One Shot Jane. Billed as “southeast Wisconsin’s premier outlaw and classic country act,” the band returns to Hawthorn Hollow. “Boots will be kickin’ for this one,” organizers said.

The Pike River Benefit Concert Series is presented by Once Upon A Child and Stein’s Aircraft Services and supported by Festival Foods and Educators Credit Union. Proceeds from the concerts go to support Hawthorn Hollow, a nature preserve that is open to the public, free of charge. For more details, go to hawthornhollow.org.

‘Mount Pleasant Music’

MOUNT PLEASANT — The new “Mount Pleasant Music” series of free concerts takes place at the newly opened Campus Park, starting in mid-June.

The band shell in the park, 8500 Campus Drive, is the location for the four-concert series.

Performances start at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and will feature:

  • June 18: Boo the Band
  • July 9: Five Card Stud
  • July 30: Whiskey Belles
  • Aug. 20: Pat McCurdy

Admission is free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. (No carry-ins of beer or wine are allowed, and no glass bottles or containers are allowed in the park.) Concert goers should being lawn chairs and/or blankets. There is no seating provided.

The concerts, hosted by the Mount Pleasant Tourism Commission, will also feature a Kids Zone, with staff members from the Racine Family YMCA. The park features a playground and a splash pad, which will be open on concert nights.

Note: Dogs are not allowed in the park.

Bristol Woodstock

BRISTOL — This concert series, which debuted in 2021, takes place Wednesday nights, through mid-August, in Bristol Woods County Park, 9800 160th Ave. Concerts take place at the band shell in the park, in front of the Pringle Nature Center.

Concerts are 6-8 p.m. Admission is free.

Concert goers should bring lawn chairs. No seating is provided.

This summer’s series features:

  • June 19: Ivy Ford
  • June 26: Jill Plaisted and Keith Stokes
  • July 3: Kylar Kuzio
  • July 10: Matt and Sadie
  • July 17: Michael Grabner
  • July 24: Violet Wilder Band
  • July 31: The Foocoustics
  • Aug. 7: Lenny Bains Band
  • Aug. 14: Jonny T-Bird and the MPs

Lakeside Lounge

KENOSHA — This Wednesday night music series, which also debuted in 2021, is back at the Kemper Center, 6501 Third Ave.,

Visitors are welcome to “enjoy food, drinks and music outside on the lakefront behind Kemper Center.”

Concerts take place on east end of Kemper.

This year’s performances are:

  • June 19: Colby, Ed & Tom on the Fiddle
  • July 17: Tom and Gary Show
  • Aug. 21: Stu the Piano Guy
  • Sept. 18: Jill Plaisted

Concerts are 6 to 8 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase “while you sit by the picturesque shore of Lake Michigan.” Admission is free.

Waterford River Rhythms

WATERFORD — Waterford River Rhythms concerts are 6:30 p.m. Thursdays in Village Hall Park, 123 N. River St. Shows run just about every other Thursday, through Aug. 29.

The band lineup includes:

  • June 20 — Breaking Cadence (rock, covers)
  • July 5 (Friday show) — Erin Coburn (blues rock guitarist and vocalis)
  • July 18 — J.D. Rankin and the Love Zone (reggae)
  • Aug. 1 — Driving Miss Crazy (rock)
  • Aug. 15 — Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute
  • Aug. 29 — The Supertramp Tribute

The exclusive food vendor is The Cotton Exchange. Beer vending is hosted by the Lions Club of Waterford. Carry-ins are allowed. More information can be found at waterfordriverrhythms.org.
