Why I Loved This Marriage of Convenience Book:Marriage of Inconvenience is the seventh book in Penny Reid’s Knitting in the City series, which is one of the best romance book series to read in my opinion.

Throughout the series, the chemistry between Kat and Dan is so palpable that by the time you get to this book you are just waiting for them to get together.

The impetus that finally brought them together was the perfect marriage of convenience story. Kat needs a husband to keep her family’s billion-dollar business and Dan readily agrees.

The difference in this marriage of convenience story is that both Kat and Dan secretly already harbor feelings for the other before they say I do, only they’ve both kept them secret due to a simple misunderstanding.

This was a fantastic book though I’d honestly recommend reading the whole series for the build-up!

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me

Vanessa was the assistant to the best defensive end in football but she quit and is ready to pursue her dream career goals. Aiden, however, needs her to come back, not as his assistant but as his wife since his visa is about to expire and he’s at risk of deportation and ruining his career.

Like most Mariana Zapata books, this book is a slow burn romance with the love between both characters slowly developing as they make their way through their fake marriage.

And when I say slow, I mean this is literally a slow, slow burn but well worth the wait.

You Can Have Manhattan

Scott and Sydney are not strangers to one another and yet they haven’t seen each other for 8 years after one hot and heavy kiss.

Now they are thrown into a fake marriage thanks to Scott’s father that neither one wants but are forced to agree to for their own reasons.

This book made me feel and it made me laugh and it made me cry because you just get caught up in who these characters are, what they are feeling, what they are fighting, and ultimately what they are craving beyond a shadow of a doubt.

It was the best slow burn, marriage of convenience romance!

Marriage for One was the perfect slow burn romance between two characters who just suck you in with their quiet confidence.

You can’t help but fall for both Rose and Jack and wish for their happily ever after.

Why I Loved This Marriage of Convenience Book:Roomies is one of my most favorite Christina Lauren books and one of my favorite romance books featuring musicians.

This is a marriage of convenience book where one of the participants secretly harbors a crush on the other. Holland fell in love with Calvin’s music and as fate would have it, she steps up to help him pursue a dream on Broadway by becoming his wife.

Fans of the movie Green Card will absolutely love this book. I love how they grew to know more about each other while prepping for their meetings with immigration.

This book is also set to become a movie with Christina Lauren to write the script so check it out!

Million Dollar Marriage

Nell is deep into debt and decides to humor her best friend by auditioning for a reality show where she could have a chance to win half a million dollars.

The chance of her being picked were slim to none and yet the next thing she knows she’s on the show and marrying a fellow contestant who’s just as desperate for the chance to win the grand prize!

I loved following Luke and Nell on their adventures which were very similar to The Amazing Race.

They were complete opposites in every way but the more they kept winning and getting to know each other, the more their true feelings grew.

This was such a fun take on a marriage of convenience story making it well worth reading!

I love marriage of convenience books when both people are somewhat desperate for the arrangement and yet fall for each other in the process.

Plus, The Bachelor Billionaire is a romance between two very confident people who have chemistry and passion making this such a great read.

Bride

Why I Loved This Marriage of Convenience Book: I absolutely had so much fun sinking into Hazelwood’s world where Humans, Vampyres and Weres don’t mix. While Misery, the heroine, was already once a part of the Collateral system, she becomes a pawn yet again, agreeing to the marriage of convenience with Lowe.

It truly is one of the best slow burn romances between two people who were just honest with each other when they didn’t have to be. This was a five-star read for me and one I highly recommend, especially if you love this romance trope.

Electric Idol

Why I Loved This Marriage of Convenience Book: OMG I loved this book so much which was super steamy because the chemistry between Eros and Psyche was scorching hot!

Eros and Psyche get married to keep her from having to marry Zeus but more importantly to protect her life since Eros’s mother wants her gone. But Psyche was no pushover when literally faced with her own demise and I loved her for it.

She was such a strong, independent woman but couldn’t help falling for the monster. This is one of the best in the Neon Gods series and one that you should add to your TBR list.

The Duke I Tempted
by Scarlett Peckham

Why I Loved This Marriage of Convenience Book: I loved this historical erotic romance that instantly captivated me with its story, writing, and amazing characters.

Poppy is a fantastic, strong heroine who doesn’t shirk away at her attraction to Westmead. Westmead is a tortured hero hiding a secret that once out to his wife becomes a uniting interest instead of a divisive one.

I immediately had to devour more of Peckham’s work after reading this marriage of convenience book that was a wonderful slow burn love story as well.

Why I Loved This Marriage of Convenience Book: Let me tell you that Geissinger knows how to build a slow burn romance and boy does she do it right in this marriage of convenience book. I have a weakness for romance books with struggling heroes and Jackson, despite his hard exterior, is a man desperate for love and acceptance.

I loved how he and Bianca slowly become each other’s person when initially they were only out to earn money. This is one of my favorites that definitely deserves a spot on your TBR list.

Feral Sins
by Suzanne Wright

Why I Loved This Marriage of Convenience Book: If you love alpha males and sassy, sarcastic, strong heroines then you’ll love this werewolf romance even if you aren’t into paranormal romance.

This marriage of convenience book is more like a blending of two packs to ward off their common enemies. But let me tell you that they have no problems in the chemistry department where they are trying to fake it as mates. Alliance or no alliance, these two are destined to be together. It’s SO good!

Call Me Crazy

Enzo and Bianca had the best chemistry as enemies who agree to a fake relationship and then a marriage of convenience. This book at great story pacing and was just a delight to read.

It’s a great dynamic to see play out through the pages. A great marriage of convenience book for those who love billionaire or royal romances!

I liked the whole bromance angle between the male characters and found Vlad’s sensitive heart to be such an endearing part of this story.

The Villain

Why I Loved This Marriage of Convenience Book: Isla blends marriage of convenience with football romance whose football star had me thinking about the Damar Hamlin story.

Emmaline and Graham have an adorable meet cute in this one but then she ends up stealing his car which then lands her in the predicament to accept his marriage of convenience proposal so that he can get his inheritance.

These two both had baggage when it came to trusting their hearts and believing in happily-ever-afters but it was cute to see them open up to each other and ultimately fall for each other as man and wife.
